Gender identity is a very personal expression. We normally talk about the female ๐Ÿšบ and male ๐Ÿšน, but when it comes to the third gender '๐Ÿ…ƒ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ„ถ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ„ณ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ…' then we are ashamed even when thinking about them.

Today I'm going to write about the  ๐Ÿ…ƒ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ„ถ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ„ณ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ… ........

A transgender or trans person is someone whose gender identity does not conform with the gender they were assigned at birth, but they are human beings like we people.
Being a transgender is still a curse. We humans live a respectful life but the transgender are hatred by we all. A criminal, rapist, murderer can live by keeping its head high, but a transgender can't, a transgender has to live a life full of disrespect, pain, taunts etc.
Transgender are likely to face violence or discrimination at every stage of their lives. The lives of transgender individuals are complex and influenced by a multitude of factors, simply linked to gender identity, sexual orientation or transition.
 • When a transgender child borns in a family, the family use to handover that child to the group of transgenders, because in our society a family never gets ready to accept a transgender child. A transgender child is separated from the family as soon as it is born. Even if the family takes that transgender child as one of its own, then the family has to listen to taunts of society. Is that child not entitled to live with his family which our society taunts that family❓
Dark life - Transgender is given no importance in our society. Very few people are meant by the pain of transgenders. Other consider them as untouchables; some people also take advantage of them for their physical satisfaction. Many people have no idea of their pain. 'Whenever a child is born or a couple is married somewhere, transgenders are asked to come there so that the newborn child or the newly married couple could seek the blessings of the transgenders.'   When we consider their blessings as auspicious, then why do we look at them with hatred....?
 Few words....
 Why no eyes of respect
  Only hatred is served
People ashamed of them....
                Why

Discrimination -  In fight of equality and domance between two genders, the third  gender  '๐Ÿ…ƒ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ„ถ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ„ณ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ…' remains forgotten....... Why ❓
Transgenders are likely to face violence and discrimination at some stages of their lives. They face some form of harassment and discrimination. These people face discrimination in seeking HIV/AIDS testing, education, at workplace and so on. Overall, these forms of discrimination makes it difficult for them to function well in every field of life....

๐Ÿ…ƒ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ„ถ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ„ฝ๐Ÿ„ณ๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ…  are also humans please respect them.....

Your post is very touching. Being transgender is no sin. It is not a curse. At most it can be said to be a quirk of nature an anomaly in the functioning of a master gene. Does gender of a person make the person devoid of feelings? Certainly not. As we become more educated, more aware and more sensitive we shall learn to respect all of god's creations. In Indian epic, Arjuna had playe the role of a transgender, Shikhandi in the battle of Kurukshetra was also a transgender. In Mahabharata we also hear about kinnar kingdom. We need to be aware of our history, culture and become more educated. Meanwhile strict rules must be frame where bad treatment of a transgender person must be considered an offence.

"When we consider their blessings as auspicious, then why do we look at them with hatred"-so rightly said. I once read a book on transgender and came to know the hardships they go through in their life. Who are we to hate or love a person? Who has given us the right to accept or discard anyone? When God has brought all of us on this earth then even transgenders should be treated with respect. The first character that came into my mind while reading this article is Shikandi from Mahabharat.

Very well written post. This is a sensitive and touching topic and you have handled it delicately. We should respect individual choices and not discriminate.

I agree...people are still not comfortable talking about them or accepting them as equal. Mindset and attitude towards them needs change.

I have explained to my kids about transgender. They see some on the roads too. I don't express sadness for them or hatred or anything. I try and show my kids that they are human beings like us only.

Unfortunately, they are still considered curse.... but I hope everyone will understand
This is an unfortunate truth about the entity of transgender people. Even in 21st Century, despite the law passed in the full right of entitlement of the rights of transgender: the inferior thoughts of our society have not changed. So glad to see you discussed this subject. This third gender deserves equal love and respect.

As a society, we need to bring in the change in thought. Infact I know of transgenders who have overcome these biases and done very well in their field of work. While I was employed, we worked on a proposal to employ transgenders for bill collection. However, it never got approved. There are specific job roles like this which Iam sure they are suited for. We just need people to come forward and offer them employment. They will soon see a growth as well.

A touchy topic indeed...you have written it so well. These taboos have been going on for centuries now. Hope it all ends soon and everyone is treated as equals.

Very well written! A transgender deserves the same respect as any of the other gender. Our society is ready to forgive rapists and murderers but when it comes to accepting an transgender we become reluctant and many a times ignore them.

This is a very impactful post. High time we get more accepting and less judgemental of the third gender. Equality for all is imperative. :)

Very well-written! This is the society we live in, full of double standards. We still have a long way to go, till we and see some acceptance and inclusion for transgenders. I am glad you wrote about it.

An extremely important post. The third gender is just as same as the binaries. Lack of awareness and decades of social conditioning has resulted in the deplorable state they are in. They are finally getting the recognition they deserve but we still have a long way to go.

Really heart touching post which touches the double standards by which our society lives at the core. There is still a long way to go for them.

My daughter often asked about what is third gender and I explained her. Yes they are humans and should be treated with respect too.

The day we begin to treat fellow human beings as people with similar thoughts, belief and feelings and not based on gender life would be better.

Your post said a lot in very simple words, very touching, real and a much needed discussion. When I hear children make fun, I make sure I talk to them and tell them not to do so, I wonder who instills this laughter in them, there are adults who do so and that is where it should stop so that the youth are educated the right way
I agree...people are still not comfortable talking about them .
We have to open our minds and treat them as another human

The society still doesn't treat them fair and it is saddening. Glad you chose to write about them
This is a thought provoking topic and I completely agree with your write up. Unfortunately we live in a society which accepts the criminals like rapists and murderers, but a transgender is still considered as a taboo. It is really heart wrenching to see them suffer so much for no fault of theirs, especially when they are used to satisfy the physical needs of many. |
Although we as a country have progressed a lot on many aspects, we still need to open our minds and have an inclusive min

That was quite emotional. I have been on this exact place while I was in Bangalore. Bangalore is crowded and probably had greater amounts of transgender than other cities. I remember I wanted to work with their welfare society and create awareness but these lack of information I got a lot of scolding from home and friends.. Let's hope I am able to show courage and more sensibility next when I get opportunity - urvashi

People have to increase the acceptability in society. A daring post in the favor of transgenders and on other side it is emotional too.
Loved the post. They have always faced hardships and discrimination. Truly said, we seek blessings from them on auspicious occasion but on other side disrespect them. They too deserve equality and respect from society.Hope this ends soon.
